Changes In Life

I was 15 years olf and a junior in high school, and the worst possible thing that could happen to me did. My parents decided to move our family from Sabah to Singapore. I had exactly 1 week to pack up all my stuff. I had to leave my room, my first boyfriend, my school and my bunch of best friends behind, and try to start a new life.

Honestly, at that point of time ( well, it lasted for 3 years), I despised my parents for ruining my life. I feel like a sakai ( aborigine) going to live in somewhere urban and metropolis.

I told everyone that I did not want to live here and would be returning to hometown the first chance I had. When I was at the new place, I made sure to keep my distance from everyone, thinking that I would just be leaving soon anyway.

The first day of school came, and I was miserable. I could only think of my friends back in Kota Kinabalu and how I wished I could be with them. For a long time, I felt that my life was over.

Eventually though, things got much better ( after 4 years for goodness sake). I have a new home, a good family, a caring boyfriend, a truckloads of die hard buddies, found my love back in art and music and even develop it as my lifetime career. I still keep in touch with all my old friends, who are now all over the world. I think I am greedy and contented. ( Just lack of a pet)

I now understand that my parents did not move the family to somewhere strange and new to hurt me, although at that time, it sure felt as though they had. I now firmly believe that everything happens for a reason. For had I not moved here, I never would have met so many other pretty little things.

Thank you everyone. Thank you God ( if you're here reading this, or even if you're not here somewhere above the sky and heaven) I want to tell all of you out there that I LOVE YOU ALL!

Happy New Year 2009 and a big wet goodbye kiss for 2008.

Sigh...

When fatigue overwhelms my soul....

Tuesday, December 16, 2008

Oh for goodness sake.

If you've read what's being written above, I've gotta tell you, I was more than just being pissed off. Jo and I were sticking each and every sequins onto our signboard this afternoon. I opened up the Gmail and there was this email from Fleaolics with an irritating message.

" Due to some unforseen circumstances the flea market is being cancelled."

Sounds familiar? Yes, a copy and paste from that bitchAy customer. Due to some unforeseen circumstances I have to cancel my order.

Why is everyone using such excuses??? So an email as easy as that totally ruined our whole plan and days of working to the flea market. The very first time I feel like shouting vulgarities out of my lung and round the world.

So I am now right here, sleepless, trying to think of alternatives to save out this poor scenario.

Jo came over and stayover at my house to get ready for the flea. In the meanwhile, I took a brief photoshoot of her for the shoes. I think I enjoy taking pictures of all my pretty models =)

Yup, everything's there. My favourite white dress ( for Cas's wedding), basket, flower and hat, and of course the model Jo =)

Taken by Zenzen. And of course how can we miss the shoes!

Sorry babe I know you're perspiring like crazy! And guess what, there's only a few of us in the park that early afternoon, perfect timing for mozzies' lunch.

Our signboard is BIG & KIASU. Hahaha which we have totally no idea how it ended up that big. We just cut out according to the ratios and lengths, but seriously you'll never how big the words are here until you see them yourselves.

Nice! I lOike it!

This is only the very small portion of shoes. Others are with Mimi, Shane and Michelle.

Last but not least, we did namecard pegs! Creative huh? To save on budgets, we decided to write our url on the pegs and stick a ribbon and images of shoes on them. The above pegs shown are undone yet. Superdy cute and nice right!!!

So from now on, I will take down pictures of all the process of any of our events as a keepsake. A wonderful idea from Jo. So that we can improve on and also to keep all the memories ^-^
& what happened people? I ask so many of you if we can all go to KL but there's no reply at all???? Sad =, (
Now it's time to my bed and dilemma...

Outing with my favourite twosome : )

Yes the twosomes, 'cause they'll scold me if I say they're twins. And that very day, I kept calling Auyeong as Hueyjia. ( Bangs my head on the wall) and she got very irritated!

It's not a really good day before the two came:
- Super strawberry jam custom
- Bad breath day
- Rain= bad hair day

This is a pair of new shoes for Auyeong : )! Gives me the indie and boho feel, me like me like!

So let's start off with some really funny pictures. We were at Little India and I asked my two lovelies for a quick photoshoot ( so-called). And that's how we ended up.

Laughs!

Missed half of Auyeong's face! OMG I realise we have the shared similarities. All of three of us have deep eyebags! =(

They tear off a few pieces of paper to sit on so that their butt won't get wet. ( After a rain) I love this pic a lot, but how come that piece of paper is sticking out??

Now this is so much better. Later on, we rushed to an Indian shop ( Auyeong's good introduction). And believe me, their eyebrow threading service is only S$5! Fast and professional!

So Hueyjia and I got our eyebrows threaded ( or threatened). Say byeby to bushy eyebrows! Though mine doesn't look much different though =/
And we've so many discoveries today! Before Little India, we went to Chinatown and grabbed down lots of goodies! Things were really cheap there, and I've fallen in love with many bags, especially the strawbags and woodbox kinda bag. Top list right now! And top brands like Clinique, SKII, Estee Lauder, Clarins and Lancome stuff are selling like crazy there. People were just grabbing everything from the racks!
www.alicekwonderland.blogspot.com - This is the cute little shop we've found out! All her clothes are handsewn by Aunty Alice! Kimono inspired too =)
Hoping for more outings with these two cuties. Too bad that Auyeong is heading to Turkey, and Hueyjia to Beijing soon =( I hope I can hide in their luggage so that I can go travelling with them too!

Time's Out.

Imagine there is a bank that credits your account each morning with $86,400.

It carries over no balance from day to day and every evening deletes whatever partof the balance you failed to use during the day.

What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course !

Each of us has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you havefailed to invest to good purpose. It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft.

Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of theday. If you fail to use the day’s deposits, the loss is yours. There is no goingback. There is no drawing against the “tomorrow”. You must live in the presenton today’s deposits. Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness, and success!

The clock is running. Make the most of today.
